by Asma bint Shameem الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ الْكِتَابَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُ عِوَجًا ۜ “All praise is for Allaah, Who has sent down this Book to His Servant, and assigned nothing crooked to it.” Have you ever noticed the very first words of Surah al-Kahf? They are ‘ Alhamdulillaah’ What does Alhamdulillaah mean? Yes sure, we all know it means ‘All praise belongs to Allaah’ But what does Alhamdulillaah REALLY mean? It means ‘All Praise Is Entirely, Completely and Only for Allaah Alone’ You see, when the word ‘Al’ (ال) comes before a word, it’s called “Istighraaq” in Arabic, and indicates. ABSOLUTE TOTALITY. So when “Al” comes before ‘Hamd’, it really means: “ ALL of the Praise, All KINDS Of Praise, The Most Perfect, Most Beautiful Praise, at ALL TIMES, and ALL PLACES from the Beginning to the End is COMPLETELY and SOLELY due to Allaah ALONE ” Subhaan Allaah! What a deep, deep, beautiful meaning for apparently such a simple word! So REFLECT on these meanings the next time you read Surah al-Kahf and every time you say ‘Alhamdulillaah’.... Say “ Alhamdulillaah” And Praise Him at All Times Out of Love, Respect, and Honor... With Humility, complete Submission and sincere Gratitude... To the One deserving of All Praise, al-Hameed. —— Don't just “READ” Surah al -Kahf every Friday. 🔺UNDERSTAND. 🔺REFLECT. 🔺IMPLEMENT”
