šŸƒ The Prophet ļ·ŗ said:

ā€œThere are no two Muslims who meet and shake hands except they are forgiven before they separate.ā€ (Abu Dawood- Saheeh by al-Albaani in as-Silsilah as-Saheehah 525)

šŸƒ And he ļ·ŗ said:

ā€œWhen the believer meets a fellow believer and he greets him with salaam and takes him by the hand and shakes hands with him, their sins will fall like the leaves of a tree. (at-Tabaraani: saheeh by al-Albaani in as-Silsilah as-Saheehah 526).

Alhamdulillaah what a good and easy way to get our sins forgiven!

šŸƒ Al-bara’ ibn ā€˜Aazib radhi Allaahu anhu said:

ā€œShaking hands is a complete greeting.ā€

(Saheeh Adabul Mufrad 968)

So next time you meet your brother/sister, instead of hugging and kissing them, give them a good ol’ handshake!

And let your sins DROP like the leaves of a tree!

Subhaan Allaah!

So eeaasyy!

Such is the Mercy of Allaah!

It was the Sunnah of the Prophet ļ·ŗ and the way of the Sahaabah when they met each other.

They shook hands.

That goes for women too.

They should also shake each other’s hands when they meet.

šŸƒ Qataadah said:

ā€œI said to Anas ibn Maalik:

Did the companions of the Messenger of Allaah ļ·ŗ shake hands with one another?

He said:

ā€œYes.ā€

(al-Bukhaari 6263).Ā

So next time, when you shake hands of your Muslim brother/sister, do it with the intention of following the Sunnah.

This way you earn extra rewards and get your sins forgiven!

Of course, this does NOT apply to men shaking the hands of non mahram women; rather it applies for women among women, and men among men.

Or among mahrams.

And Allaah knows best.
